He also controlled the ball out of the air perfectly and passed to Evra to set up the Tevez goal. A perfect hockey assist.

The last bit I agree with. He went down way too easily 2-3 times this match, rather than fighting for the ball.

There was a moment when he smashed Hummels to the ground and won an aerial ball with his feet. I really, really want to see more of that instead of him looking for fouls. The fouls are never there. Just bludgeon your marker and go on with your pace.

He is going to get a lot better. This is his first season as a starter at a top club and center forwards dont peak till their mid 20s it seems. He turned out to be an amazing signing and I hope he stays for a long time. Its really important we keep him here because it took so long to find a center forward like him.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite players. It would break my heart if he left.

TBH, the first games when i saw him sprinting and his technique... i knew llorente was done for.

The difference in speed and ball control is abysmal..and with good technique, comes good finishing naturally

Its a while back. The last time someone (I can't remember who) asked me who said that and ironically the very next post was that he is as good as Raul. Go dig in past posts you'll find it but I am honestly too lazy. It was while I was arguing that he is more hardworking than naturally talented compared to Raul. Lion had a long ass post quoting me at different places.

I never said he is a poor player either. I always said that my assessment of him is that he is very hardworking and will develop into a top player like Higuain.

He's capable of great shots at times, he shows generally good technique with the ball in the box, needs to work on his dribbling and passing more, and shows great urgency when asked to defend.

I think we have a keeper for a while on our hands. He's not Tevez, but he's no Matri.

The dribbling is the worst for me. At times he seems to run the ball straight at defenders and invariably lose it. His passing has been pretty good in general over the last few months, and he has some very nice assists on the season. Yesterday was the first game in a while where it seemed quite off the mark.
