This will be an unpopular opinion I'm sure, but I'd rather Llorente started tonight.

I know he's been poor this season, and I do rate Morata, hear me out.

When we played Bayern Munich a couple of seasons ago, one of the reasons we couldn't cope with their pressing is we had no out-ball. Matri and Quags didn't provide a physical presence, so we couldn't go direct to them.

That meant that we were trying to play out from the back, but as with all Italian teams, couldn't cope with the furious pressing.

I think tonight we'll be ok, if we can weather the first 10-15 minutes of their pressing, and get time to impose ourselves on the game. But I think for that initial spell, we need to be able to go direct to the front, and Llorente is more suited to that role than Morata.

Morata can come on nearer the end, when his pace will trouble their tired legs after they've been pressing so hard all game.
Yeah. He is getting better but he hasn't been impressive at all. Just Hard working.
I was more talking about Juve in the CL in general.

and by the way there is hardly any basis that morata is currently the better finisher as neither are scoring nearly enough goals to be considered proper strikers in any sense. You can make that comparison when they both stop sucking.
Except for the Higuain joke, all i said is exactly what i said above: he didn't show why he deserved to be a first choice striker then. People, like you, just wanted him to play because of the hate towards Llorente, nothing to do with his performances, which, were nothing to write about then.

You don't simply drop you main striker whose last season was superb and help destroy his bad form even more when his replacement isn't even doing anything stellar.

Not how it works, Lion, Act more adult. Your trolling is boring sometimes.

Morata: 'Juve will give their all'

Alvaro Morata expects Borussia Dortmund will be tough, “but Juventus go there with everything we’ve got.”

The ex-Real Madrid striker got the decisive goal and helped set up the opener for Carlos Tevez in this 2-1 first leg victory.

“I think we played well, but it was very difficult. Borussia Dortmund don’t have a good position in the Bundesliga, but we all know they are strong in the Champions League,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“The second leg will be extremely tough in a fiery stadium, but Juve will go there with everything we’ve got.”

Morata was asked whether he preferred spaces to counter-attack or for his team to keep the initiative and need to break down locked defences.

“A striker has to adapt to every situation in a game. Tonight we won and I am happy. Playing against Italian teams is very educational, even in training against our defenders. Sometimes Chiellini whacks me, but he means well!”

WTF man. So his performance and goal against Milan wasn't impressive? His vital assist against Napoli wasn't impressive? His 2 assist performance against Hellas wasn't impressive? And so on?
Hardworking player but not very talented. He is not a brilliant finisher. He is not a dribbler. An okay crosser. Some pace but nothing extraordinary. His off the ball movement is okay but nothing special. He is the marchisio of strikers. Very good player to have, but certainly not the future raul.

Oh come on. You underrate this guy so much it's criminal. His finishing is looking excellent lately. His crossing is excellent, his passing is very good, and his positional (and offside) awareness is very good. There's a reason Real Madrid waited so long before finally sending him out. He has immense potential and is very talented. He just wasn't living up to it. Now he is starting to. Enjoy it, stop acting all bitter about it.
