people have finally accpeted that llorente is trash that shouldnt have started for us.

once again history proves me right. Ferrara, Diego, Motta, Krasic, Llorente. I said all these will be trash for us and i was ridiculed.

CrimsonKing pointed out during Juve's last game I think that most of Morata's goals were scored against lower table near relegation zone team. That's the same argument I pulled against Llorente last summer which got me a bit confused about Morata. But then I realised that he only had 6 Serie A starts so far, all bottom sides except Milan, and he scored against Milan. I think he will score a lot more against higher(quality) table teams as well if he gets more starts against them.
This really isn't relevant yet as he hasn't played enough minutes against top teams in Serie A for analysis to be meaningful yet. Allegro' stubborn insistence on starting Llorente every big match so far has made sure of that. Hopefully, starting with Dortmund we get a better idea of how he'll do against better teams.

And this also neglects his two assists against Napoli.

So what do the papers say? Is he going to Start vs. Dortmund? :xfinger:
BBC gossip (BBC SPORT website) states the Metro "newspaper" are reporting that the Spanish press are running with a story that Liverpool want Alvaro in their squad next season.

Liverpool are probably looking to offload Ricky Lambert. Lambert as we know is not pulling up trees at Anfield. Llorente, I should add, seems incapable of hoeing weeds.

If it somehow is true, how the fuck do Liverpool even think they have the pulling power to coax a Madrid tied, Juve owned player away from everybody and grab him up.

Hey Alvaro, come live in liverpool and wrestle with homeless people who try and sneak in to your house at 2 in the morning to steal your football boots to sell for some easy smack money

This will be an unpopular opinion I'm sure, but I'd rather Llorente started tonight.

I know he's been poor this season, and I do rate Morata, hear me out.

When we played Bayern Munich a couple of seasons ago, one of the reasons we couldn't cope with their pressing is we had no out-ball. Matri and Quags didn't provide a physical presence, so we couldn't go direct to them.

That meant that we were trying to play out from the back, but as with all Italian teams, couldn't cope with the furious pressing.

I think tonight we'll be ok, if we can weather the first 10-15 minutes of their pressing, and get time to impose ourselves on the game. But I think for that initial spell, we need to be able to go direct to the front, and Llorente is more suited to that role than Morata.

Morata can come on nearer the end, when his pace will trouble their tired legs after they've been pressing so hard all game.

Such things would work with a normal form Llorente, the current one isnt doing anything you are saying, and the past 3 games, Morata has been far better then LLorente at all mentionned traits.

We start Morata cause we want to start with 11v11, not 10vs12.

I'm not hating Llorente, i hope he gets back to form, but currently, his form is just that bad.
