I was sick all the time... And very sad and sensitive wee little infant.
Were you really? I'm sorry, didn't want to poke fun.

As a toddler I was very lively despite being injured (my right arm was fucked, birth injury). I remember having to go to Montreal every once in a while to go see a specialist, I loved going to the hospital because of the toys and slides :lol: but hated the doctor because he'd make me wear a brace. Hated the brace, as I got older I wore it less, and completely ignored my right arm, still do, and only functioned using my left side.

Poke away. 'tis all good. It took me 20 years of depression on this planet but I finally figured out how to cope with this depressing world as a young adult, for better or worse :D

Sorry to hear about the arm. Is it still fucked? Or more functional now?

As long as you and your family are alive and well, everything is bless really.

As for my arm, it's still useless as fuck :lol:
I'm partially at fault, had I taken the therapy sessions seriously it would've improved. I was and still am very proud, and never wanted to be pampered or protected, always thought that I can handle everything on my own. And I embraced being a three legged dog very early on, I remember even arguing with a doctor that having 2 arms is abnormal for me :lol:.

When I used to play competitive football, I injured my left leg, I was too proud to be in a wheelchair and decided I'd move with a crutch (obviously couldn't use 2). I was 15-16 at the time. I had to use my good arm for the crutch, and I'd limp on. While I was injured, I'd get mad at my friends, classmates and teachers for trying to help me carry my shit. :touched:
The arm itself was never an issue for me, it's being told you can't that always got to me.

::lol3::

It's all about what you are happy with... and if you're good with the useless arm and deal with it in your own way, that's just fine and dandy. :)

I know what you mean about finding it irritating when people dote on you and try to do things for you... And living in Canada, people are especially irritating with this. :lol:
