Maybe we will be overpaying a little for Morata in his current form...but just by 5 mils or so. The guy is worth it. Theres a reason for why Real Madrid inserted the clause, and theres a reason for why he carried us to the final 2 seasons ago.

Morata HAS it in him, we are the ones who need to give him the chance to lead our line. Yes, he had an horrid first half season but im pretty sure it was because he was having personal problems and was simply not focused or commited enought to the task. After he solved his issues we all saw how he improved greatly in the 2nd half of the season and returned to be the usual epic Morata.

IMO, this year was a transitional one and he turned from a boy to a man and matured in a lot of ways. From next season, i think we will start to see the what teh finished product will look in a couple of years. We havent had a difference maker like him on the CL since maybe Trezeguet.

We should pay the money and keep him.... not only because of him.... but because we will face an impossible task to relace a forward like him and with his age.

50 mils overall seems like a lot... but lets take this deal as if real madrid let us pay morata in installments instead of buying him right away full price 2 years ago.

Mandzukic will not be around forever... Morata should be bought.

I'm sure everyone thinks that way in the club including Beppe.
But the question is whether they think he's worth of 65M,and if they can invest that money now on him.
when he talked about the dybala deal, he suggested juve could sometimes overpay for the right player when they think the investment is worth it. let's see how beppe rates morata.

i think i aleady mentioned it, but what if it isn't about money and RM simply want's Morata back to weaken a direct CL opponent?

buy back, sell to Arsenal - extra cash + Juve weakened. Morata already said he thinks the EPL suits him.

I absolutely love Morata but the additional €35m is just crazy talk there is no way Bebbe will be paying that kind of money on him.

Hopefully we can secure him for much less if not I'm sure Bebbe/Paratici will find a good enough replacement.

There's simply no way we should lose out on one of the best and youngest forwards in the world if we can afford to keep him - and we can. If he fully belonged to us and City came offering 55m, would you sell him?

Morata is worth like 40 mil. € at the most. He hasn't even scored double figures in his career in one season. He's no Dybala.

the only way i'd be ok with morata leaving: pjanic 100% coming. he also offers guarantees, albeit different ones.
Or maybe we should get both?. I mean,,if the board is serious about winning the CL that is.

Freebies and rejects like Nanes will get you so far... but for quality like Morata and Pjanic you gotta pay.

If we are able to negotiate real madrid the clause, for example, paying them the full price they are asking but in installments....maybe we can reach an agreement.

Morata has not gotten the chance like Dybala did IMO. IN the first season he had to duck it out with Llorente until he got his deserved chance in the 2nd half of the season. In this one he was fuckep up mentally at the beggining and his slump lasted too long. Also mandzu presented a challenge for him

Dybala came here without anyone in front of him so he had the chances to show his thign right away. Imagine if we signed Dybala with tevez still around?. He would surely have gotten maybe half the chances naturally.
