If you have krasic and sanchez on the wings, its obvious to me

at a topteam where you dont play counter all the time, he'd be sub

lets be honest, giovinco only shines when he is playing on the counterattack without marking on him
if he must build the play and gets marked, hes gone

true, but bastos isnt comming cheap

we should really find a low cost alternative thats on a simular level
15 mln E would be okay for me and i see Bastos as starter here . I would be happy with something like Bastos+Sanchez+Swissguy+Ziegler+Pirlo = 60 mln E .

Krasic - Sanchez - Matri - Bastos

or

Krasic - Matri - Quagliarlea - Sanchez

i'd say the bottom lineup, and have bastos as a squad player. plenty of rotation means fitter wingers

thats why i said we'd need a cheaper alternative with simular ability

15 mil is offcourse expensive for a squad player, but we need to rotate

and a good bench is many times a decider in a championship
Ya we need a good bench, and its not just the rotation or coming on to change game, we need a good sub to ensure theres always competion and no one gets slacking. Just imagine if either one of our starting wingers, Krasic and whoever else get injured or marked out in a stalemate and we need someone to come from the bench, if we have Pepe/Martinez who is going to come over, we all know its game over for us .

this is a good point

we can all complain about del neri's failsubs, but if the player fails on the field and you have no bench, wel, thats bad

"Everything is about Udinese, what they want and the offers that arrive," said Sanchez to reporters. "I'm the last person to ask because I'm happy here in Udine. But I have a fire burning inside me, I'm desperate to prove I'm a top player."

My guess is City were simply not sure if they would want Sanchez for real - probably just straightening out their targets for this summer.
Once City moves in with the big check book, I honestly don't see how Udinese or Sanchez are gonna say no to them.
It is one thing to prefer ManU over Man City if their is a battle between the two, but to reject City outright if the want him so that he can "stay and win in Italy", hard to imagine that.
