70 million is an awful lot of money for a LB. You could even say that it is a ridiculous amount of money.

But, is this really necessary? Is this something that the club HAS to do from a financial standpoint? He's arguably the 2nd best LB in the world behind Marcelo. If this comes to fruition, why do it? Does this club not have as much money as we thought? Aside from Schick, that's it. And even then that was 30 million. Not all that much in today's market, especially for a kid with that potential.

Only if we buy Marcelo this move will be digested.

But what is the point in that? It's an upgrade, yes, but an upgrade that doesn't have to happen.

I just have this feeling that the money isn't there like we all thought it was, or the corporate directors at Exor are setting rigid, specific financial parameters that must be adhered to.

Well I don't know what the point is but let us assume that Alex Sandro wants to leave for some reason, be it money, personal or whatever and considering our policy in not standing in the players wills then we have to react to that. If we are the elite club we are claimed to be then our move to compensate for Alex Sandro has to be Marcelo otherwise it is a major donkey ball suck.

We'll have downgraded both left and right back after this mercato. If Alex Sandro has in fact requested to leave then a worrying trend is emerging. Is it a matter of wages or are some players just not buying in the clubs project?

It's definitely mostly down to wages.

Firstly why would a foreign player compromise on some €1- €2M difference in wages if he can get more elsewhere?

Secondly, most top players see playing in the EPL or for Real/Barca as an advancement in their careers. Likewise the commercial earnings would be huge too which is why Pogba decided to return to United.

If we at least had the ability to facilitate higher wages for our top players, we could hold a tighter grip on them. But I don't think we have.

Juve- a selling club.
I thought this was pretty much established after last summer.

But the question Is...why?
Before we became a force in Europe we resisted bids for Vidal on a yearly bases. Ironically we became a selling club after we became a good European club and not the opposite. I wonder if it's down to Allegri being an easy target or a yes man.

If we don't need the money as our club always says - Keep him til his contract runs out and have a worldclass LB at your disposal til 2020, who knows, we might even win the CL by then and Alex Sandro changes his mind.

Probably this, Exor does not see Juventus as a priority. And with Elkann, who does not even have the passion close to that Gianni had for the club, its all about balancing the books and cost cutting..

He is of course a yes man but the thing is that he was never asked about any sale. It's a sole Agnelli/Marotta decision.

Why didnt he do it ?
exactly for fk sake.
You tell the player we won't sell you no matter what.
If you wanna out wait till your contract run out.
In the mean while play well or else when your contract expires and your 28 hardly you'll find people pay you a lot.
That what you could do or renew with us and we'll double your wage and you'll be in a team competing for the best.

That's what Marotta should do instead of pussying around with words.

Yes CorSera is a garbage source. Same source that says we'll invest in De Sciglio and Darmian with the money.

Also the same source that reported earlier this month that Allegri blocked the sale of either Bonucci or Sandro.
