Been impressed by him since Santos days, he has been in Porto for like 5 years now and needs to move on for sure, too good. Less known mainly because the more attacking Danilo took most of the headlines, but he has grown into pretty damn exceptional modern LB, very mobile and tough (covers and tackles well), excellent dribbling, decent/ok crossing (prefers cutting in/passing back more). In terms of young LBs to get that arent in a top team already, I would prefer only Ricardo Rodriguez over him.
Good. I get the impression though that the majority are feeding off the hype of a few

The fact of getting a potential young top LB is good enough for most that dont know him, and I dont blame them :D Especially even more so in such a dire and depressing mercato lately, and the fact its a position we have ignored since Zambrotta, except for getting experienged granpa Evra.

Why would those two clubs go for him? Other than just because they can, of course.

Kolarov and Clichy. Marcelo and Coentrao. Even if the Portuguese leaves Madrid (been rumoured for about 5 years now) it would be a poor career move to sit behind Marcelo for club and country, he is vice-captain at Real Madrid now.

He's basically the best LB available in the world today, considering his quality + age.
Yep :agree: Ricardo Rodriguez will cost like 35m-40 when he leaves Wolfsburg I think lol. And Gaya, Barca, Real will pay ALOT for him next summer or the year after, two players that arent available this summer, and even less so even for the rich hyped clubs of EPL or Spain.
