Some players, fewer and fewer admittedly, actually want mostly to be playing, week in week out. They want to be involved, with their clubs, and with their national teams. All we can hope for, is that Alex falls into this category. He will know that he will be be a starter for us, if he signs, and if he starts regularly, then he will majorly increase his chances of gaining entry into the brazil squad. If he is happy to sit on the bench, collect his huge wage packet, then seriously...we don't need or want him. Either way, I would rather we were grabbing Lugano. He is far more a natural born leader, than Alex, cheap as chips, and gives us much more of what we so desperately lack...LEADERSHIP AND FIERCE TENACITY ON THE FIELD.

Clear favourite for the CB position.

Juventus want a loan + option to buy/Chelsea want to sell outright.

This deal will probably close near the end of the market.

I can't understand why so cheap. It's not like he's unwanted there. He started last week, is set to start this weekend due David Luiz' injury. Even if he's not a starter, he's really the only back up they have.
