Juventus happy to wait for Alex deal
10:00 AM 18 August, 2011
Juventus are happy to wait until the end of the month before deciding on Alex.

The Bianconeri have made the Brazilian international a top target ahead of the new season, as they look to bolster their back four for a title at the title.

Alex has been at Chelsea since the summer of 2007, but he has failed to fully establish himself as a regular starter and Andre Villas-Boas could be prepared to let him go.

Juve want to take the 29-year-old on loan, and although the Blues are asking for around £8million, the Italians will bide their time before deciding whether to cough up. http://www.fansfc.com/story/34677.html

Why the fuck do we want to wait? And then on the last day we will raise our offer, which still isn't enough and we miss out on him?
They want € 9,2 mio, that's far less then he is worth FFS...

Wait in the hope of Chelsea getting desperate to sell and lowering demands? Wait to purchase a LW? I'm not sure about their squad, I doubt they will struggle getting 8 home grown players, so it seems odd.

Some players, fewer and fewer admittedly, actually want mostly to be playing, week in week out. They want to be involved, with their clubs, and with their national teams. All we can hope for, is that Alex falls into this category. He will know that he will be be a starter for us, if he signs, and if he starts regularly, then he will majorly increase his chances of gaining entry into the brazil squad. If he is happy to sit on the bench, collect his huge wage packet, then seriously...we don't need or want him. Either way, I would rather we were grabbing Lugano. He is far more a natural born leader, than Alex, cheap as chips, and gives us much more of what we so desperately lack...LEADERSHIP AND FIERCE TENACITY ON THE FIELD.

Sitting around doing nothing, even when getting paid for it, becomes extremely grating for the vast majority of people.

In any instance, we've made an improved offer wage wise and fee wise, if it's accepted that's that.

if we sign him and vargas we could turn a disastrous mercato, into a great one!
this mercato was about filling the holes, and adding quality players for the right price

lichtsteiner, pirlo, vucinic, vidal definatly are quality players for the right price

leftwing and centreback we are working on, but bonucci is good enough for serie a.

can you stop beeing pesimistic untill the mercato is actually over ?

Sorry but his not. Terribly average defender, he would screw up our results if we keep faith in him.

Alex is a fucking beast. Even if he isnt exactly the most majestic and elegant of CBs, he would still be a very welcome addition to our backline. An Alex-Chiellini CB partnership is intimidating as fuck, if nothing else.

Id rather take a shot at Mertesacker

Very experienced defender with loads of appearances for Germany and only has a year left on his contract. My only worry bout him is his speed and injury prone status but hes a beast of a defender

Mertesacker would be a very fine acquisition imo!

Chiellini-Alex = Montero-Iuliano...pain, and a lot of it.
