Angelo Alessio says the Bianconeri will have to be alert to Nordsjaelland’s possession-based game when both sides lock horns at Parken Stadium on Tuesday night.
Despite slipping to defeat in their first two Champions League encounters against Shakhtar and Chelsea, Kasper Hjulmand’s men have taken plenty of plaudits for their enterprising style of play.
And with the Bianconeri gunning to get their European campaign on track with a convincing win in the Danish capital, Conte’s right-hand man is taking nothing for granted.
Addressing the media in Copenhagen, Alessio began: “We’ve got great respect for Nordsjaelland. They play an attractive style of football and keep good possession. They’ve got technically gifted players and their strength could also be seen against Chelsea in spite of their defeat.”
Following an energy-sapping 90 minutes against Napoli on Saturday night, Juventus are expected to shuffle their pack for tomorrow evening’s encounter with the Wild Tigers.
But while the Danish media were naturally curious about a potential appearance of national team striker Nicklas Bendtner, Alessio kept his cards close to his chest.
“We’ll decide our starting line-up after today’s final training session. Bendtner’s slotted in well. It takes time to adapt to the team’s style of play. He will have the chance to play when Conte sees fit, ” he concluded.
