Great job Secco, after two years of chasing him, we signed him and dropped RUInieri in a month.
Decent amount of money for the fame, but to be seen the effect on the field...New Zidane or Tiago???
I am not impressed though. I want to see smart offloads and more signatures that inspire this year. I want a glimpse of real Juventus' show next year!!!
Must buys: WORLD CLASS: RB; Criscito back for LB; And a great forward(Benzema, perhaps?) if Trezeguet and Iaquinta are both sold.

 good job secco.

its even better      IF
you can offload the mediocrity in the team such as :
Tiago.. Marchioni, Grygera, Zebina ect to get another WC signing
haven't you learned anything from this season mate? :) we would probably end up at roma's spot if our squad would be smaller. better a "mediocre" player than Loria as a starter ;) now that we have built the squad, we can bring in one or two more quality starters apart from Diego and Cannavaro, but not at the cost of quality bench.

Our bench players are more expensive and competitive (considering their role) than our starters. We need to improve the quality percentage of our starters.
Thats where we have failed this season! We had players to field, but they were not good enough, esp the defenders!! Unlike the previous year, that we were forced to use Nocerino as RM/AMF...
We should turn our current ones (Marchionni, Molinaro, Grygera, Legro) into "quality" depth players and replace the injury prone, supposedly starters (Andrade/Zebina/Camo) with top quality material.
And by that i mean top quality players and young enough to form the backbone of our team for the next 5-7 years.
Free players like Grygera,Canna and Mellberg dont count...

This year for ex, was the perfect ex that a better bench cannot help us to make the leap of quality and become more competitive.
We have achieved nothing more than last year. And our depth could be easily be as effective, with an extended use of our quality youngsters...

Secco has promised quality over quantity, this was exactly how Juve managed to become a champion in the pre-calciopoli years.
Inter and their bench were always third...
Diego is a very positive sign and i hope that we will go on like that!!
Hopefully this time, we will respect our priorities and right now, it is our defense!!

But what would be the point of building the squad in last two years, if this summer we just throw away our good bench? I just hate the idea of trading ~6 bench players for two starters, it's ridicolous. We won't win shit if next season we have 10 players in injury list all the time and we have about 18 good players who are ready for Serie A. Sure, the board made some big mistakes in choosing the right players, but the plan as a whole was right, we did had to build our squad first. You can slowly integrate like 1-2 primavera players to first team in one season, but not 6-8 like you are suggesting. Of course you will come up with the Almiron's and Andrade's and tell me how Ekdal, Ariaudo and other youngsters could've done their job, but could you tell who will be the bad ones when we signed them?

we MUST offload some player, "useless" players. lets be realistic and leave emotions aside. these player have to go:

Trez
Zebina
Poulsen
Tiago
Camo( i know i know, but lets fae it he seems to miss alot of games in the past two years)
Almiron
Marchionni

this will get us like 20 mil ?( more if secco did his homework )
maybe then we could get a RB and RM

face it some of these 6 bench players don't actually play most of the time.

Great plan, we have three attackers (with one of them injured the others will be exhausted or someone's got to be played out of position), we trade 5 midfielders for one (and we are left with one unknown winger, great) and this all to get rid of Zebina and sign RB? Oh, and yes, we are selling Poulsen and Almiron even without giving them a real chance, and treating Camoranesi, Zebina and Trezeguet, who were pushed to stay with us in Serie B, like real assholes. They trusted us in way more complicated situation, how come we don't trust them? Sure, there must be a better way to resolve the RB problem :agree:
