But what would be the point of building the squad in last two years, if this summer we just throw away our good bench? I just hate the idea of trading ~6 bench players for two starters, it's ridicolous. We won't win shit if next season we have 10 players in injury list all the time and we have about 18 good players who are ready for Serie A. Sure, the board made some big mistakes in choosing the right players, but the plan as a whole was right, we did had to build our squad first. You can slowly integrate like 1-2 primavera players to first team in one season, but not 6-8 like you are suggesting. Of course you will come up with the Almiron's and Andrade's and tell me how Ekdal, Ariaudo and other youngsters could've done their job, but could you tell who will be the bad ones when we signed them?
No, no i dont mean that, i mean strictly the garbage and the players who really are unnecessary. Take the RB for ex, we have a supposed decent starter, naming Zebina, but he is never available and our real starter is Grygera, who is a very limited player, one of greatest weakness in our squad.
As depth, we can use Mellberg and Salih.
We actually have 4 players fro just one position.
But we ought to have just 2 or 3 at max. So selling two of them and buy one great starter is the only way i see eligible, if we want to improve our team. Adding one more free/cheap RB will make us no better!!

As for the youngsters, i was very confident of Marchisio's skills for.
We already had CZ, Sissoko, Tiago, Almiron, and Marchisio coming in.
There was absolutely to need for another DM/CM would couldnt defend any better than CZ and be a straight solid replacement to Sissoko or create much better like Tiago/Almiron/Marchisio, like Alonso would.
There was absolutely no need to add one more player there.
Marchisio proved that he can be as good/effective as Poulsen, if not better.
But the acquisition of Poulsen did not considered him AT ALL!!

Instead of wasting the money to buy one more player that would undermine his future, we could have used that money to buy a decent defender.

And if we were adding the EPL sum from the Zebina sale, we could have one problem less in our starter formation and virtually no real losses in depth...

Poulsen should have been brought as an upgrade to Tiago?Almiron after their sale, after we have seen that Marchisio is not good enough for being a starter or not and after we had less starter issues and we could focus on fine tuning our subs.

Since Poulsen is already here, i dont want him out, now!
We made a mistake and we cant fix it with another one!
Tiago and Almiron sucked more, we should sell one of them, or both and/or Zebina and some cash and buy a top clash RB!!
So we are keeping a decent sub (Poulsen), offload an unwanted played (Tiago/Almiron), a useless player (InZurna) and fix a persistent issue, permanently (RB)!

This makes a lot more sense then "replacing all mediocre players with few world-class ones". The other option, which is way more painful, is trading Trezeguet and replacing him with 4th choice guy (Palladino for example) and get money in wage budget and for transfers.

Lets rob Newcastle,Coloccini,Jonas Gutierrez, could come cheap...I think Coloccini is a very good defender, and i see him as the cheapest available option now..
sorry...........what? man he made Titus Bramble look efficient

Coloccini is a good defender IMO surely an upgrade to Mellberg.
mellberg is a no thrills defender, he is not particularly great but he is not terrible either. collocini has been a joke in one of the easier leagues for defenders to look good, he was not even close to average, this would be a nightmare of Boumsong proportions

This Mercato is Seccos chans to prove me and many fans wrong about him.

Diego and Cannavaro is a great start.. If he solve the Criscito deal and buys a great RB.. then he has done good.
