Moggi divides Juventus

What does this mean?
Moggi is backing Secco and he also is in contact with him, while Cobolli doesn't want Juve to have anything to do with Moggi. Hence Moggi divides Cobolli and Secco, dividing juventus.

That's what it hints at anyway.

Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco hopes that Gianluigi Buffon’s decision on his future will come from the heart.

The Bianconeri sealed their return to top-flight football thanks to the 5-1 win over Arezzo on Saturday.

But the goalkeeper’s statements after the match seemed to confirm the many reports suggesting that he might not remain in Turin next year.

“We will meet Buffon in the next few days,” Secco told 'Rai Radio Anch’Io lo Sport. “He knows how important he is for Juventus and his contract expires in four years.

“We would be pleased if his decision to remain were to come from the heart and not only because of the contract, just as he did last year. We shall try to convince Buffon to stay.

“I am confident that, by explaining the project to the player, we can succeed,” added the official.

“I think the club must act like a club and the players like players. When we talk about world champions however, they can become involved in the club’s project.”

Secco also confirmed that Didier Deschamps is set to remain on the club’s bench and stated that Juventus’ mission is to try to keep all their champions in town.

“Deschamps is the Coach and he still has a year on his contract. Promotion was the objective and we had already scheduled to meet after securing our return to Serie A.

“As to the champions, Juve’s mission is to confirm them all, although we must remember that the increase in capital allows us to make some important new signings as well.

“David Trezeguet and Pavel Nedved should stay, the Frenchman is an extraordinary player and Juve have a special place in his heart.

“As to the Czech, even if he is 35 he still wants to do well and he proved how important he can be, also in motivating the rest of the team,” concluded Secco.

Moggi may be a snake, but he's at least an accomplished snake at that. I can't say anything close to that for Secco.

Moggi did what he could for the best interest of the club. Secco is doing it for his ego and most of all save himself from embarrasment. IMO both can never be compared. Although I agree on one thing and that he really is a junior.

Though if the reports are true, Secco and Moggi are still in contact. Meaning that Moggi still has some influence over our club, in effect making Secco only his extended hand of sorts.

Although we never had a coach I believe who was quite influential in making decisions on transfers I cant really comment on how Moggi would have behaved with DD. But im sure of one thing is that both Moggi and DD know what players are, and to be fair I can only imagine they would have approved of the same moves for players.. (more or less)

Anyway its all speculation. But yes if the reports are true then you certainly have a point.. but since calciopoli, its hard to determine whats true and what isnt.
