It will be as if Blanc is offering Secco as a sacrifice to the Ultras, so he could save his own skin.
But Blanc is the president now, right? Gigli was also a president and he was fired, which means that there was someone above him, just like there is someone above Blanc giving the orders.
Do you guys think that if Secco is fired it'll be Blanc who'll make that decision and fire him?

Who is the guy firing our directors?

Who fired Gigli? Who will fire Secco?

Whoever it is, he's more powerful than them so Cronios' pawn theory won't hold any water anymore, because the people who appointed the pawns won't be here anymore.
Our Board of Directors are the ones in control of appointing and dismissing.

And Gigli didn't get fired, his contract expired.

I thought Gigli's term came to a natural end...then there were supposed to be elections, but all of a sudden, we were told that Blanc had got the nod, I assume, without any elections or other candidates sticking their names in the hat????

I am likely mistaken, but have assumed for a long time that John Elkann is the nearest we have to an owner. His company owns us...as his bloodline has owned us for decades.

Is there anyone above him in the Juventus hierachy??? Or even just below, between him and Blanc?? A man in the shadows who is charged, by Elkann, tio keep Juve running smoothly, with the power to cull ANYONE from president to coach...

Aha. Thanks.

So if Secco is fired that will mean that the board of directors did it.
Do you know who's in the board of directors?
Not necessarily, since Blanc is the President of the club he has the power to fire anyone below him, since that is his job, as the "careholder" of the club. The president only answers to the board of directors. So the board of directors, are the only ones with the power to remove and replace a president.

And to answer your question. I don't know who exactly is in the board. But I have to believe that they are people who own the majority of stock. For example the Agnelli family and other shareholders.

I think it is safe to say that John and Lapo are, at the very least, highly influential when it comes to major decisions made by Juve.

There are three current or former IFIL folk on the board and I'm sure they will ensure that the wishes of John and Lapo are known.

Bettega set for Juve return

Juventus are ready to announce the sensational return of Roberto Bettega as a director at the club.

Bettega was a member of the infamous Triad, but emerged from the 2006 Calciopoli scandal largely unscathed.

He was kept on at the club for the remainder of his contract, only for the board to decide not to renew it at the end of Juventus's first season in Serie B back in 2007.

The decision drew criticism from the fans who felt Bettega had been treated unfairly by the new board, which, they allege, didn't understand his importance to the club.

Bettega made 326 appearances for Juventus between 1970 and 1983, scoring 129 goals.

His re-entry is a stunning u-turn by the board, which now really has need of his expertise, especially in the transfer market.

While his role has yet to be defined, it's thought he will give technical support both to Ciro Ferrara and Alessio Secco, the much-criticised 38-year-old director of sport.

The board's decision is thought to have been influenced by events last month when a court in Turin absolved Bettega and Juventus of “administrative doping” under the Triad.
