Not true at all. In fact Quag playing closest to goal, makes it natural instinct to put the ball out to the wing, and run in for the cross. He also has more facets to his game to mobilise positions on the pitch. Matri and Quag are different types of forwards, but Quag is the more complete one and it is his skill thats gone on to proven that he can even adapt in a formation thats not optimally suited to him. This is not to say Matri cannot, but he is not as complete a player, and i will not take away the fact that he has been very unlucky with gametime. More than this season, I personally felt he did no wrong to lose Conte;s confidence and be benched by Boriello who was clearly the inferior player then and is now.

baggio, I'm surprised that you consider Quag more able to mobilize positions on the pitch than Matri, i.e. that he spreads the play out to the wing more often. That's trademark Dandy-stuff, some of what he does really well. I'm not saying Quag never does that, but Matri does it way more often.
Quag has a better first-touch than Matri, and he's a better finisher. But better team player? Better at opening up spaces for his teammates either via runs or passing? No sir.
