To be honest I feel like he's a lot more isolated in the last few games. He hasn't been getting the kind of service he needs to thrive. Time to play Quag or Alex next to him, or maybe sit him out for a bit.

But Matri hasn't had those half chances to be honest because he's not getting the right support. I feel Vucinic drifts too wide and leaves him isolated. He needs somebody to play a lot closer to him, especially in a two man front. Del Piero and Quag could do that job better, especially when there's no 433.

He is our best goal-scorer i'll give him that. But he is just not capable of playing with the ball. And it is really frustrating. I facepalmed so many times tonight. And not just because of Matri but several of our players. Its like they met a ball for the first time in their lives tonight. It is unacceptable to not be able to stop a ball at your feet when a player passes it to you on the ground. It is just not! And Conte should know this and im really angry that he acts like he doesnt know it. We tend to play a passing game on the ground, and it is logical that you will need players with a good first touch in the team in order to do so. Matri isnt one. But, if Conte really wants to use Matri then why play wingers with equally bad first touch?
