Do you think Pazzini a CL-worthy striker? Because between Matri and Pazzini, the former is better player without a doubt.
Nope I don't think that Pazzini is a CL level striker (Not is Borriello) and Borriello would be a sub striker if he was with Milan now, and Pazzini should be a sub striker for Milito and Eto'o.
Btw I don't see how Matri is better than Pazzini.

I think he's way too pricey but I'm happy to have him here.
How Matri is better? Well at first he will top the 19-goals record of Pazzini and to me Matri is much more complete than Pazzini. Lively, moving, can football around the area and intelligent.

I didn't get to see the game but it feels like he'd be worth his price if the team provided him with better service. Looks good in the highlights.

For €16m? Want a sub striker? Get Klose for free. I don't think any club (other than probably Real, Inter, City and Chelsea) has a sub striker that cost that much.
Matri as first choice striker = mediocre Juve.
no not for 16m maybe just swap him with martinez or someone like that

His first finish was some careful and deliberate placement past Antonioli after a great assist from DP.

His second was an attempted assist to DP, DP hit the post and deflected back to Matri, and somehow he managed to make a reaction header to the volley to score the goal.

Two good goals today representing different skills in each.

I don't know why people mind him so much. He is a prospect, and with the right kind of support, I think he'd be an effective striker. Vieri comparison still holds for me.

His first goal represents what no striker we've had for these last years (apart from David of course) could do, run intelligently. No way Amauri would have carried out that run. And if Iaquinta had, somebody in the stands would have gone home carrying a ball. The second goal represents his instincts, which a striker must have. Reach half a second late and that would have never been a goal.

Can't understand all the bashing. When you've been eating junk for the last couple of years, you don't complain that the home-made cooked meal, which is way better than the junk is no gourmet shit.

People, we're sitting 7th for the second season running, world class strikers not gonna show up.

I'm curious how people would rate Matri compared to, say, Zalayeta?
Neither of them is good enough to be a regular striker for a Champions league team. Both of them would make good sub strikers, but one cost 18m the other don't.

Milan: Pato and Ibra
Real: Higuain and Benzema (P.S Adebayor on loan)
Barcelona: Villa and Bojan
Inter: Eto'o and Milito
Bayern*: Gómez, Olić and Klose
United: Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez and Owen
City: Dzeko, Balotelli and Tevez
Chelsea: Anelka, Drogba and Torres
Arsenal: van Persie.
Liverpool*: Kuyt, Carroll and Suarez

Now no wonder those teams are going to play UCL football next season, because they have great strikers.
*teams that might not play in UCL next season, but still have UCL quality strikers.

Juve should be after the likes of Benzema, Neymar, Adebayor, Forlan, Aguero, G.rossi, Nilmar Not the likes of Matri.

So people here has accepted that we are a middle team?

Quagliarella-Matri is a striking force Sampdoria,Udinese,Palermo should have. I don't say they are bad players, I have nothing against having them on the team as subs.

Neymar-Benzema/Dzeko This would be a attack worthy Juventus. Matri,Quagliarella would be the subs.

Sad to see that we have lower our demands on players for Juventus
