Effectiveness of the long balls also depends on how well the striker is positioned and is able to control the ball. More than half our long balls we molinaro style and the rest were just not controlled. But yeah not much support from the ever invisible marchi and surprisingly pirlo. Matri himself looked spent and tired,either he gained weight or its that pink kit.

The guy scored 20 goals in Serie A last season and without him, we might have finished lower than 10th.

Some of the reactions after the game last night were absolutely ridiculous.

Quag would had score all his goals also so what is that saying
he can't even run an opposite. I am just not a big fan of him.

I am not so sure, Quag scores different types of goals.

Matri's runs are better than Quag's, that's why he was so effective with through balls last season(like vs Roma and Napoli).

I like both players, but they obviously need to be properly supported and until we get a quality LW, that won't happen.
