Diamanti will not interfere with a bigger signing, especially because this signing is so early.

I hear the deal could be worth 6M + a youngster (Sorensen?)

That's relatively not a lot of cash. We should have more to sign a top player.
That summer when we brought Martinez very early, in the end we were forced to sell Diego to fund Krasič and Quag. I agree with those saying that we should secure the big signing(s) first and then go after squad additions with what's left.

Not suggesting Llorente suddenly completes Juve's attack.

Just pointing out that I wouldn't say Marotta is 'lacking focus' by looking at Diamanti, since he has already made a big move to strengthen Juve's attack.
You just said he doesn't complete Juve's attack, so yeah, Diamanti can wait.

Of course we are signing Diamanti, this is just one of those rumours in which you know it will happen.

I actually dont mind him, he has a super left foot, good at free kicks.

As long as he's 3rd or 4th choice and we don't pay a high fee I'm happy enough with it.

What are they saying about Ibra in Italy?any inside info?:D
We are closer for Ibra than any other striker (without Diamanti). Ibra wants to leave, he don't find french league competetive and he wants finish his carrer in Italy. Juventus is the only choice. Anyway, long road with many negotiations with PSG ahead of us.

BTW: Higuain is not coming, not a chance. If we take somebody from Real, it will be Di Maria. But for me it's a rather a idea than something big.

I read a lot of posts on VS just now, he is definitely coming man.

I know he is coming but it's nothing to do with football on pitch. He will make Marotta a few million richer and give him an excuse about economic gap. Scum himself fabricating an economic gap by getting these loathsome Italian players nearing 30 since the first day he arrived.

Nobody expected him to be more than a decent back-up. Not even Great Thief. Yes, he was another bad signing that time and now only one proved to be useful.

On the other hand he is getting these relatively unknown guys without any proper career like Matri, Padoin, Peluso, Giaccherini, Pepe, Diamanti for much more than their actual worth. Not a chance this is coincidence.

Obviously it's not a coincidence. He is buying Italian players in their prime that win games in Serie A. And I think 3 of those guys you mentioned had familiarity with the coach.

That's the thing, he isn't really. We paid the value for all of those players aside from maybe Matri, and the context was us buying him in January during an injury crisis.

What worries me the most is fact we don't go for younger players with potential. It's known if you don't have money you give a chance to youth. Don't get me wrong with this one I mean we can deffo afford to include in our squad one young gun with potential to become world class player. Milan did it with SES and they benefited from it massively. Instead we invest in players like Diamanti - okish player who has no chance to become world class considering his age and his whole career.
