That's the only way any club would consider buying him at this point. He's getting 5.5mln/season at City, which is crazy.

Would we be willing to offer him 3.5-4mln per year? That too seems unlikely IMO.

we had the wage discussion before. even if he takes a 50% wage cut he earns almost as much as chiellini/marchisio, more than vidal and way more than barzagli/bonucci/asmoah etc.

Beacase many people forget about AFCON and Conte don't. Asa was beast before it and after it Conte said that he shouldn't let him on the field so early beacuse he was very tired. Still, we have great players at all positions, now we need to have great backups or solid competition at all postions.

the reason why conte wants this kolarov is because he is good in the air. asamoah and zuniga are quite short compared to kolarov so they are not fully able to intercept crosses. i think conte is trying to go back to 4-3-3 in the champions league instead of 3-5-2.
