He was the best player on the field against Inter IMO so no. I don't think we're over-hyping anyone. If you're man of the match as 19 year old central defender in Italy I think it's fair to say the kid's got more then just a decent future ahead of him!!

Like I said, I like him too, but every pre-season we have some starlet that shines in these friendlies, only to fade to obscurity - Pasquato and Rossi, just off the top of my head.

Not enough to say that he's better than Sorensen or will be better than Vidic.

He's above Sorenson in my book. He had a certain sense of calmness that Sorenson always seemed to lack. Excellent positioning as well and I'm sure he was leading the line not Lucio

I thought Sorensen was a very calm player. It's not like Masi is being pressured here anyways. That's why it's wrong to say he's better than Sorensen after seeing him in two of the most meaningless friendlies a team can have.
