For all the people who doesnt want Gila, i have a question:
are u pleased with the situation in our teams attack last year?
Do u enjoy waching our team struggling to score a damm goal?
dont u see the need of a sure stable never injured or liked to be injured for the entire season Gila?

Why Milan feels the need for ANOTHER striker?
Do they need him now?

They assure their future with the best material u could find in the Italian market the last 5years.

What are we going to do if Treze gets injured again?
to u think this is unlikely,do u think its even 50-50% ?

GILA HAS SCORE MORE THAN 45 LEAGUE GOALS IN JUST 2 SEASONS IN A SQUAD LIKE PARMA IS!!!

AND YOU CALL HIM OVERRATED?!

IBRA scored 16 goals with JUVE this year both league and CL games

so the difference of 10m is justified...

and dont tell me that they have different roles cause i dont give a sh$t.
when youre a striker you have to score...

p.s.
STOP telling gila is a
Milan player till its official.

Firstly, go easy on the cap locks. We all have good eyesight around here. And secondly, why dont you let time prove your point? You speak like its a forgone conclusion because of whats happened in the past two years. Yes, thats a foundation for the future, but that isnt necessarily what the future will be. The only thing we can deduce as things stand today is Zlatan has proven his temperament with a team like Juve, and he can perform against the level of competiton they face in Europe. Gila is going to have to do the same. And i think you and i both know, at that price, Gila is a risky option. Given a choice, I'm more than happy to hold on to the tried and tested finesse of David Trezeguet.

And another one:
arent u interested to do smth better in the CL?
U know one goal can make the difference there.
We have a world class defence,
we will create a world class midfield with Vieira,
why our team sould hurt on the offence?
We need a stable player on the very important place of the finisher, OR two equally good alternatives,
Vieri and Treze could work
but because we can affort ONE and only one player,
we sould base all our hopes to an injury prone one?

Zlatan and Dp scored 33 goals between them last season. Thats not a bad tally imo. Just add Mutu and a rejuvenated Trezeguet, and you wont need me to tell you how awesome we currently are.

Thats the good scenario,
it doesnt secure our future,
scoring is smth very important in the CL,
much more important than the championship,
for the ones happy and pleased only with another championship,
our team is good enough,
hell we dont need Vieira either,
Maresca is good enough

Anybody can get injured during the season.. hell even Capello could get injured.

Every year he has contributed to the team's performance.. He wasn't fantastic, but he certainly helped, excluding last year, cuz the whole team sucked..

So he should be labelled that just because he made a mistake?

I'm assuming that you have his phone number as well, and he tells you all that?

Viola were idiots for bidding that little for such a good player.. "This useless speedy man" was one of the major reasons fiorentina stayed up..

So, judging by the criticism of all these strikers, you would be satisfied if Juventus sold them all and bought 5 super-stars to fill in for them? You'll be disappointed to know that it just doesn't work that way..

if i will stay argue with u it will not end....keep ur comments for u :groan: useless to speak to u even....ur post is just to argue and not to convince...it's good for u ...:groan:

I didn't understand half of what you said there..
And this is a forum, a public place to share different opinions. .I have a right to say what I want, as much as you do..

Let's just say that I respect your opinion, but I do not agree with it..

And how can you be sure that Gilardino won't get injured? Obviously some players are more prone to injuries than others but anyone can get injured. When Trezeguet is fit he does what we need him to do, score goals, and when he was injured last season we carried on admirably and we weren't as spoilt for choice upfront as we are now with Mutu in the squad.
as u said others more prone to injury...and for us...Trez which is supposed to be the only finisher we have...don't tell what if Gila so...at least Sheva can do the job.....and another point....Trez his history with injuries prove that ....it's a big mistake that we didn't sold him to Barca or Chelsia now....and when he will get injured....who will scores now....let Mutu then score againest big teams....

Yep, every year he lacks performance. Every year we have to put up with the same old overrated, underperforming, overpaid Del Piero, but that rich slouch happened to come up big when he was needed last season and his goals won us a number of games. If you want to ignore the fact that he was our topscorer last season and contributed heavily to our Scudetto success then you do that but Capello, Moggi and most of the fans know that DP is an important part of this team.

why why we have to suffer every year....why i have to wait for his highness to be in form why my heart is just getting sick of waiting Mr.DP to be in his form....i don't want him to play 2 or 4 games or just play agisnt smaller teams.....where he is in Liverpool, RM , thank god his ( by Chance Double kick comes on TRez head) thanks god....DP when he playes..play how much from that match ...he can't complete half hour....we don't need him

What does Mutu's past have to do with anything? We're not paying him to be an ideal role model, he's a Juve player because of his footballing ability. I suppose you would have preferred Nicky Butt to Edgar Davids years ago because the former wasn't on drugs? We should probably have brought back Davide Baiocco instead of Blasi last season too, right? I mean Baiocco didn't get banned like Blasi did so we should've signed him instead.
Mutu? ...i didn't mean human mistakes....lets face it...year out of function and before settingon the bench....take druges....when the seseon is over....may..may he will contribute...

++ [ originally posted by Stuart ] ++
Really now? Well I wouldn't bet on Del Piero and Trezeguet being fitter than Zalayeta.
Zalayeta....i feel tired really...am convinced what i know...
++ [ originally posted by Stuart ] ++
Are you the same person complaining about Juve sitting around and watching Milan strengthen their squad because Miccoli is a hell of a lot better than Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Miccoli....ahhhhhhhhhhhh....miccoli can't open small team defence u tell me he will play against Baraca and chelsia.....

any way guys.....am too nervus from this and Gila when sure now he will be a milan player i get nervesed tooooo much at the same time ..Moggi said Rabbish veira talk really i get shocked....:fero:

hope mr Moggi sign players this year ...... and hope the r at least two big signing if not....this is really toooooo bad.....loook how others...look liverpool they signed alsmost 4 or 5 players and we r still denying....fu!k u Moggi Fu!k u Moggi :fero:

That critisism isn't fair. Parma were battling for relegation this season, which means that most of the opponents were better then them. He still scored 23 goals, which in my opinion is worth a lot because for Parma every goal counts.
And as others have here, you cannot dismiss Gila as overrated because he just didn't do what he did -- coming in a goal shy of the scoring leader for each of the past two seasons -- for a "bigger" club. The season before last, Parma was one goal shy of qualifying for the Champions League. Gila was on a club with such talent he started the season as backup to Adriano.

And what did he do that year? With 23 goals, his strike rate of a goal every 108 minutes was tops in Serie A. Better than Sheva. Better than Trez, Vieri, Cheva... even Totti in his fantastic season.

And compared with other leagues, better than anyone in the Spanish Superliga (Ronaldo, Mista, etc.). And yes, better than anyone in the EPL -- including Henry... and Saha, Van Nistelrooj.

Sounds like an overrated hack to me who can't perform on a top tier competitive squad...

Overrated or not, he is a Milan player now, so pointless talking about it. Juve fans should just get over Mr Gilardino, and look forward to other new signings.

Yes and no. There's a lot of Juve sour grapes about the guy here. And as far as I can tell, nothing has been confirmed yet about him.

OK
firstly you dont have to get upset because of the cap locks...
im just trying to POINT OUT my point of views.

as you said past is a founation for the future
and its true that thats where i base on my comments
lets see...
maybe gila will prove me wrong
but i really dont see it happening

p.s.the cap locks were because you said that he is an overrated player
not because of the future comments...

You should take a look against whom he scored his goals. IMO he is a striker who can play worldclass against smaller teams but didn't show enough class against bigger teams.
i think that you should take look
against whom teams did ibra scored his 16 goals...

the only big game that he scored was a PENALTY against inter...

Then say what you mean :D..

And considering Palermo is not exactly a world-class team, he did excellently with Palermo.. In fact, I wouldn't mind to have him here at Juve..

I m used to it,anyway, they have more money and power than us,
we cant compete with them,
this is how the things are,
even Moggi cant wonders and change this,
they make serius investmebts,
wich bring succes,
wich brings money,
they got 30-35mil from their CL saga
and they get Gila,
but they thing that makes me ungry is, that they get him soo cheap,i didnt expect them to pay the 70mil Parma asked initial,
not even 50,but atleast 35,
that would stop them to buy other players,
now they can affort other players too,
if another world class player is available and he is both Milan's and Juve's target,
we will loose him again!
We will have to face Milan in every single elite transfer.
If we wont buy Cassano this year
and Milan sell Pippo and Tomasson next year and they wont him, they will get him

I don't think they are so much more powerful than us....
