I really don't join this Gilardino hype, cause he always sucked when playing versus good defenses or big teams. He also didn't impress me when playing in Europe. This guy is IMO still way to young to be the first striker at Milan, Juve, etc. We will have to wait, but IMO he is by no means a must buy.
Anyone else find it a bit weird that both last season and this season, he has 23 goals. Two back to back seasons with 23 goals is impressive.
Lucarelli is also impressive. Like 3rd top goalscorer in Serie B last year, and top this year, with 24.
Props to Luca Toni as well. 30 last season in Serie B w/ Palermo, and now 20 this year, guiding them to the UEFA Cup.

Well you do have to admit the team he had around him this year at Parma was rather weak, and other teams could easily shut him down if he was the only player up top. Against Milan, Parma sat back the entire first half and only deployed one player in attack: Gilardino. It was basically the latter against the entire Milan defense for most of the match, except for the last 20 minutes when Parma started to come forward due to their 2-0 deficit. So just because Gilardino does not play well against the big clubs is not really evidence to how he would play with a big club. I mean the service he got at Parma was not very good, yet he still managed to score 23 this season. Make that 46 goals in two Serie A seasons. That's very impressive if you ask me.
it's arguable, though, that maybe it's easier to score a lot of goals when you're the only player that the team looks to, to put them in the back of the net. It's been seen countless times with the likes of Lucarelli, Hubner et. al
I'm not saying that Gila's not a good player, but to assume that he'd score more with a bigger team simply because he'll have better players around him is a bit naive IMO

Well, i personally think Gila isnt going to be the superstar to take Italy into the next era. I dont know really, what makes me say this, but i just have this feeling that if he moves to a bigger club it will hurt his career rather than the other way around. I know there's 46 goals in two seasons for the taking, but i dont think that is enough for him to go to the next level just yet. He's young, and he's lliterally carried Parma on his shoulders, but lets not forget, he's been the only real go to guy during his time there. That may not necessarily be the case at a Juve, or a Milan. Cassano on the other hand, has had more experience on the bigger stage, and has proven his temperament both on club and international level.
Im not so sure Gila will go to Milan now, seeing that Milan already bought Janks and (possibly) Oddo, to add Gila in that list just seems too good to be true 
Why cant we just stick with our strikeforce now that we have Mutu? I think it'll hold up. We should improve our midfield or cover the defence.
