Gilardino Staying In Italy – Agent
5/4/2005 4:04:00 PM
No Real Madrid in the future of the Parma striker according to Beppe Bonetto.
Alberto Gilardino’s agent declared that his employer will remain in Italy and continue his professional career with one of the peninsula’s big clubs.

“It would be the ideal solution for him and his family. Right now it’s obvious that he deserves to play for a big team; he succeeded in maintaining the high levels from last season and it’s a clear sign of maturity. Many incorrect things have been said about him, but Alberto preferred not to comment.

“I want to highlight again the fact that I don’t think he will play abroad. It’s almost certain that he will play at San Siro. If it will be with the home team or the guests, that’s still uncertain,” declared Beppe Bonetto.

The prolific young striker is tipped to be joining Milan at the end of the season, even though Juventus and Inter are still interested in his services.

I guess the tug of war is officially between Turin and San Siro, note that the agent still left a hint that Gila might also play at San Siro as the GUEST Team...hence ...JUVENTUS!!!!

THeRe IS HOPE!

@Maresca78: Yeah, Gila a more natural nmr 9 but since Zlatan is wearing it and if dp leaves, 10 would be good for him, unless he switches with Zlatan.

I sincerely hope so. Gila has probably been my favorite footballer in the world the past couple of seasons.

But does he ever have a talent for putting on a show when the transfer window approaches.

    Juve to enter Alberto fray
    ________________________________________________

Juventus are reportedly ready to try and beat Milan to the signature of Alberto Gilardino.
The Parma striker is one of the hottest properties in Serie A and Milan were thought to have almost sealed his signature, despite interest from England with Arsenal and Chelsea both keeping tabs on him.
However, Milan have always denied an agreement is in place and that may allow Juve to try and make a last ditch bid.
Juve were keen on Gilardino last summer, but a move failed to materialise and he stayed at the Ennio Tardini.
The Turin giants are set to let David Trezeguet leave the club this summer and they are scouring Europe for a high-profile replacement and Italian star Gilardino could be the man.
Gilardino himself has recently stated his love for Milan , although Juve could yet sway his opinion.

It may just be wishful thinking on my part, but I feel Juve has a strong chance of signing Gilardino.

Moggi has proved in the past that he will pay large sums of money for young Italian players..who are proven. Having said that the only one I can think of is Buffon - but it still proves my point. Everyone could see Gigi was great, and was going to be great for a long time to come, so Moggi stumped up the cash.

So, I feel Moggi will be prepared to do the same for Gila, it won't be as much as we paid for Gigi, but I reckon he will pay big bucks for him if he has to.
