They're both very similar players and would have the same role to play in this team. Gilardino is older and has had a crack at a top team already, in Italy, which he failed miserably.

Pazzo hasn't played for a top team yet and is younger.

So lets hear it, why is it laughable that someone rates Pazzini higher than Gilardino? I gave my reasoning behind it so lets hear yours.
