Haha, what a fail safe Keita would be, is this for real? Our club going after real bonafide quality players? If only that same competent attention is shown to our lackstrusre defence, then we would be flying high.

Everything in it's time,i'm sure they'll bring a defender as well.
yes exactly. everyone needs to relax, we pretty much got amauri, now hopefully xabi...we have months to get defenders, i am sure they are well aware of the defensive situation. one player at a time guys.....

we are linked with a load of players (and yes defenders). im sure buffon is telling the board for a solid backline in front of him anyways.

What about melberg guys, I know hes not enough but this shows commitment from our board to strengthen our defence...I believe this mercato is going to a good one for juve.

actually I believe Melleberg is a brilliant signing...there are not many young World Class CBs out there anyway....the few there are impossible to get

Our chances to buy Aquilani were always slim, if we insist on getting rid of Iaq, we will sign Mancini...

As for the defense, i agree, that a new high class CB, among with Mellberg, Andrade, Legro and Criscito would be enough.
RBs Zebina, Grygera, (Mellberg) Lbs Chiellini, De Ceglie, Molinaro

but nothing is impossible if we buy a decent CB we can make chillini bacl to LB and de ciglie to cover him . and simply the no problem in our Df
Why move Chiellini to LB while he is simply awesome as CB
it`s like saying lets buy back Zambrotta and play him at his previous position RM or LM

Chiellini is a good LB don`t get me wrong but he is twice the player he is when he plays CB

it`s best for us to buy one of the following: Zambrotta Grosso or Bridge

Roma rejected Aquilani bid
Thursday 22 May, 2008

Juventus failed in a cash plus player offer for Roma’s rising star Alberto Aquilani, reports in Italy claim.

Stories in Italy on Thursday are suggesting that the Old Lady made contact with the capital giants around two months ago, but were unsuccessful in tempting the Giallorossi to do business.

It’s understood that the Bianconeri were prepared to part with £11m and Vincenzo Iaquinta, but Roma didn’t bite.

The Giallorossi consider the Italian international as a star of the future and he will, in all probability, be offered a new contact. His present deal expires in 2010.

Having been knocked back by the Sensi family who control Roma, Juventus have now switched their attention to Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso.

Although the 23-year-old Aquilani is staying, Amantino Mancini does look like he will be heading for the exit.

The Brazilian has yet to agree terms on a new contract and the club will sell rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in 2009.

Barcelona, Juventus and Inter have been associated with the former Venezia flop who is set to be replaced in Rome by Antonio Di Natale of Udinese.

if it were true he'd be on a plane flying to Turin.
