one question for you :D why martinez for 12 mil?
Why, because he brings pace and a certain set of skills and versatility being able to play both the left and right, as well as being a capable second striker.

Look, I thought they paid too much for him, but that's really my only gripe, si the amount of money spent. However, versatility in a player is never a bad thing. If he turns out well, then the last thing anyone will talk about is how much they paid for him.

Its very possible that it was because of his versatility that the price tag was where it was set at.

so we blew the third of our budget on a squad player who hasnt proven jack, not to dwell on the same issue over and over but i just cant bring my mind around the bermuda triangle that is the purchase of this guy at that price.

Does anyoone even know what the budget is?

With all due respect, its tough to say that 1/3 of the budget was blown when we don't even know what the concrete numbers were to begin with

so far the only cash splurges have been krasic and martiez with 15 and 12 respectively, add on to that the storari and bonnucci and the potential last signings, will in all likelihood put the martinez one at a third of our budget.

you guys keep mentioning that Martinez cost us 12 million, well he didn't
we only paid 5 million for him and another payment next year and so on
that's the reason why we were pretty active this mercato while practically all of Europe had to tighten their belts
I don't know how he will do but his price is a false reason to hate the guy

It's not about how much did we pay, it is about does he deserve that money. All transfers are made in installments and I cannot understand why this year everyone is so happy about the news Juventus won't pay whole sum. Everyone does so! The fact is that Martinez price is 12mln and Juventus will have to pay it. If he is worth it or not.
