Love the Aquaman.. what a goal!

Delneri needs to explain to him that his job is more important than what he thinks tho.. he has to control the mid and pace of our attack in a whole another level.. especially when melo's missing.. He's keeping it very simple for now.
But he showed up for the ball alot more than last few games.

Aquilani is class! He would be playing even better if we had an better attack. We need players running in to space and making the game better for Aq! This is where Quag would do the job. Right now we only have Krasic to do that!

I would like to see him slip through passes that splits up defense,a shame we have no strikers who could run through empty spaces,Do you guys think with DN's 4-4-2 Krasic and Pepe/Marchi could do that?

martinez did a couple of movement though he lacked pace, another 2 or 3 games will make him match fit and hopefully he will be full pace

Alberto Aquilani has been frank enough to admit that he doesn't consider Juventus to be title contenders this season.

The 26-year-old midfielder scored Juventus' winner against Bari on Sunday, which takes his side level on points with fifth placed Palermo in Serie A.

Speaking after the game, he said: “I have felt that we have been put in discussion recently.

“Juve were used to having players like Zidane and Nedved. We can't win the Scudetto. Inter, Milan and Roma are stronger.

“The objective is fourth place. We have to roll up our sleeves and go forward like this.

“By now I am playing more as a deep-lying midfielder than as a central midfielder. I rarely score but I am fine this way.

“There are many injured players. This is Juve and it's hard work. But we need to go forward like this.”

If you're serious then I disagree.

I don't understand why some players do give up so fast? Milan and Inter are better than us, slightly if I may add. But we did show up against them didn't we? We drew Inter away and won against Milan.

The only thing they're better at is the concentration their mental preparations facing average and weak teams that we're supposed to beat easily so long we did put good performances against the top teams including Roma, Lazio and not only the Milan teams.

Playing for the 4th place could cost us a lot and make us finish 6th or 7th. Aiming for more than 4th place which is Scudetto will make it easier on us.

18 matches to go Alberto, if Roma managed to top Inter before last round when Inter were the best team in Italy and Europe then I don't see why can't we fight the same way. Unless if the morals are down like yours, Aquilani.

I think it goes both ways. Al-Aq sees the logical progression of this squad and its season because he is there, in the club house with the team. This club has struggled against low to mid table teams ever since promotion. Its ridiculous how we allow easy points to slip away from these lesser talented clubs. Yes, we do hold our own against Inter, Milan and Roma but that does us no good as it only amounts to a max of 18 pts while we drop more than that to Bari, Cagliari, Parma, Chievo, etc..

I think his honesty should entice the management to make some structural changes which can set this ship on the right course. I applaud his candid comments because I feel the same way.

I have no problems with him being realistic and setting his objectives the way he wants it. My only concern is why would someone give up when there are 18 games left 54 points to be more precise. And also not to mention both Milan teams play in CL (Injuries, fatigue etc) can play roles in our advantage (Napoli in EL) etc..

Yes, realistically we are not title contenders as the Milan teams but we have a shot on it don't we? Lets keep on fighting till the end. That's all I'm asking from our players and statements like these don't boost your moral.

players talked about expectations at the start of the season, "taking one game at a time"; "we will see at april where we are", started to get good results, unbeaten in 18 games

then started talking about titles and look what happened

so you see what i meant

less talk, more work
