For any Rai 2 subscribers, he is currently on a show called La Domenica Sportiva discussing the matches of the latest round in Serie A.

He's a great addition to the team and he's been doing a great job for us so far. But I still feel the best is yet to come; I believe he has so much more to offer. I'm still waiting for those ridiculous shots from 40 yards out and those inch perfect passes that will result in a one on one.

Aquilani is one of the major reasons for Melo's great season so far.
I agree. But Melo does the same for Alberto. They complement each other perfectly. Without Aquilani we lack creativity and the vision he brings.. but without Melo we lack solidity and toughness. They both work well together. This is not a knock on Marchisio who is talented in both offensive and defensive aspects but his best attribute is his versitility and tireless running.

With these 3 in our team we have 3 excellent Mids and then with Krasic we have an extrodinary attacking talent. If we can pick up some strikers (Cassano and Dzeko/Benzema) and full backs (VDW..) we can defn return to being the glorious Juventus of the past.

It's quite fascinating to watch. Aquilani makes Melo better at passing and dribbling, and Melo makes Aquilani tougher and better at defending.

It's almost as if they transfer their respective qualities to each other through osmosis.

what is aquilani's buy out clause?? well worth it, he has so far made our midfield look a lot better.

as for Melo, Del neri has made him good...he has added structure to the team and this has improved a lot of players, melo, marchisio, PDC.

16-18mln iirc.

About Aquilani and Melo making each other's game better, i wouldn't say they make the other "better" but they probably feel reassured whenever they're together on the pitch and have more confidence, hence performing better.

Yeah .. Aquilani probably sees Melo win the ball and thinks. I should be doing more of that!

I like how unified and together the team seems this season. I think Aquilani should be bought outright along with Quag and as MArtinez started to get match fitness he looked like a good buy so I am optimistic.
