Juventus president Andrea Agnelli this afternoon joined Michel Platini on a visit to Juventus Stadium and took the opportunity to address the media immediately afterwards.

Agnelli began: “Yesterday, I considered it correct to have a moment of reflection. Certain thoughts expressed recently have generated a lot of attention, so we thought that a day of reflection would serve us well. This morning we’ve taken advantage of a useful moment to come together and assess the situation. The path we began a couple of years ago is achieving important results: this year we started out in two competitions and in March we’re still in the running for both. The technical area deserves great credit for this, they’ve built a competitive side, and the manager and his players are enjoying a truly commendable season. They know that there are 11 championship games to go and possibly another two in the Coppa Italia, they’re aware that there’s the possibility to obtain prestigious results, so we’ll be perfectly calm in trying to reach the targets we established at the beginning of the year.”

“We knew that bringing Juventus back to success would require great efforts,” continued Agnelli. “We’re doing so and we’ve noticed that we need to be able to fight against everything and everyone, aware of the fact that our strength is sufficient to obtain results.”

The President concluded by hailing the club’s progress on all fronts: “It’s an entertaining Juventus side that is appreciated by the fans; the team has made us proud. The stadium is the pride of the entire country, the Football Association... it’s an example for other facilities. Juventus are doing their job, which is competing to win.”
