He was much spoken about by Allegri during his press conference today.
Allegri keeps saying, and it’s already the third or fourth time that he said this, that Rabiot should be a player who’s able to make goals. Before he said ~5 and now it was even more, around 10.
He also said that Rabiot should learn to do everything we actually already know, win more duels, arrive a bit earlier, be more aggressive etc.
Than there was the episode with Szczesny which we already know.
Its really strange to see al those managers speaking highly about Rabiot. Pirlo did the same, always used to say ‘if Rabiot realizes how much talent he has’, and I remember even Sarri saying similar things. Rabiot probably had a easy time becoming a professional due to his strength at youth levels, probably was the kind of player who didn’t needed to give everything in order to become one of the best players of his teams. Now honestly he reminds me of that guy at work we all have. When the rest starts at 08:00, arriving 15 minutes earlier he’ll be the guy who arrives at 08:01. Then when work starts he’ll be the guy who gives 70%, just enough to avoid complaints but he’ll never be the guy who puts in the most effort. Something has to change drastically at mental level but I doubt someone will be capable of doing that. If anything he keeps getting the confirmation that he’s doing good, he continues to start for France and Juve so I doubt that he realizes this. Laziness is a natural thing for him.
