In the past 2 months Rabiot has improved like a motherfucker, De Ligt is doing same stupid mistakes match after match, Cuadrado is out of gas, he has played way to many matches that's why he has regressed.

If I understood you correctly, his +/- is 12th best in the squad and in the last 2 months he has improved a lot. Whats the conclusion on how he did beforehand?

imo he was one of the worst players out there consistently for months this season.

sure, playing him as a winger didnt help, but guys like Marchisio and Mandzukic did a hell of a lot more when placed out of position than this guy.

Whoscored and Transfermarkt both have him playing ~20 games as LCM and ~13 games on the wing. He was awful in both for the 6 months leading up to mid-late February

This season the whole squad is playing below their level, you can't name any player that has improved or has made a progress but Rabiot has improved a lot in the past 2 months, he's a leading force of Juventus midfield nowadays.

thanks. considering all are positive, now sort +/- per 90 minutes (since playing more progressively increases that total number and since you conveniently cut that part out ) and you'll see that Rabiot is 2nd to last on that metric only in front of McKennie. do the same for last season and Rabiot out of 17 players with 1000+ minutes played is positioned 15. I guess my inner feelings aren't that deceptive

Cuadrado, Locatelli, Danilo and Morata are all doing a lot better in this metric this season and imo Cuads and Loca over the course of a season are also a lot more deserving of a season MVP award.

Just look at his heatmap, it doesn't make sense to use him as LM, he can't deliver from there. That's what i've said, he was shadow of himself in the first part of the season, now we are witnessing the renaissance of rabiot

That's nominal positions, look at the heatmap it shows where he was getting the ball more often.

More central role for Rabiot - better perfomances for him.

It was actually pretty useful. Hadn’t seen that +/- per 90 stat before. It just gave further evidence Rabiot is utter rubbish. The on/off stat is interesting too. Net goals/90 while a player is on vs off the pitch. Rabiot is the worst in the entire team. We’re net 1 goal/90 better when he doesn’t play.

If anything RUS should be bashing Max for playing Rabiot at all when other mids are healthy.

He should have been used in 2 man partnership in 4231 formation from the start, 2nd options is LCM in 433/4312 formation, 3rd option is LCM in 442 formation, but never ever as LM
