This is pretty much how I feel as well. At this point in my life I would not have one (except if I were raped or found out very early on in my pregnancy that my child would have a serious disease), but that is just me. Ten years ago I would have, seeing as I had no income to speak of, was just beginning university and had no stable partner. It was only through being very, very careful that this did not happen, but it could have.
I do not think abortion should ever be taken lightly, or used as a method of birth control, and sadly there are people out there who do. It has very serious effects on everyone involved, but at the same time in some cases I truly think it is the best course of action. But, above all, what frightens me is the idea of the government having any say over my body.
