Why are you guys so sarcastic about it? so what if he converts to Islam or any religion, it's freedom of belief..

But actually many of these make Islam look worse than it already does to misunderstanding non-Muslims

    well he played in my town (middlesbrough) for a while, even if he had past it, he still became a fan favorite here. Wish you all the best Xavier

    I'm not making fun of him or the religion, just those that make a big deal out of it

    I don't see anyone going over the top, this is a soccer forum, and I thought it might be interesting to mention a recognised footballer changing faiths. Had this been a gaming forum, or anything else I wouldn't of bothered of posting it.

    But judging by your avatar , it's no wonder you get irritated by topics of this nature
