There’s no rest for the Bianconeri after Saturday’s impressive victory over Atalanta. Shortly after returning from Bergamo, Antonio Conte again finds himself under the media spotlight discussing tomorrow’s visit of Roma.
He stated: “It’s a competition in which we want to go forward. We’ll give our utmost to get through to the next round, whilst remaining aware of the difficulties that could lie ahead.”
In Rome, Luis Enrique champions the work done by his counterpart. “As a manager, Conte is a bit like he was when he played. He was a winning footballer with a strong character. His team are well trained and have great hunger for success. I must truly congratulate him, he’s a fine coach.”
The evening sees the achievements of Alessandro Del Piero and Claudio Marchisio recognised at the Oscar del Calcio awards ceremony in Milan. The captain scooped a lifetime achievement award, while the midfielder was handed a spot in the team of the year.

Tuesday 24 January
The club pays tribute to Gianni Agnelli on the ninth anniversary of his death. The name of the ‘Avvocato’ remains strongly linked to the club, a man who made a significant contribution to the history of both Turin and Italy.
Amauri completes a switch to Fiorentina after the two clubs reach an agreement for the striker’s permanent transfer.*The 31-year-old departs Juventus after making 100 appearances and scoring a total of 24 goals.
Alessandro Del Piero caps off an emotional evening by scoring his first goal at Juventus Stadium in the 3-0 win over Roma. The captain, whose sensational curling effort broke the deadlock, dedicates his strike to the much-loved former owner.
The 37-year-old comments: “I think he would have summed it up with one of his legendary quotes. It was a nice goal and I’m happy to have scored it on such a particular day in this club’s history.”
Wednesday 25 January
Gigi Buffon receives the prestigious title of best goalkeeper in the world*from the IFFHS. The organisation has compiled a list of the best shot-stoppers since 1987 and this year sees the Bianconeri and Azzurri number one at the top of the pile, ahead of Iker Casillas and Edwin van der Sar in second and third place respectively.
Thursday 26 January
Paraguayan winger Marcelo Estigarribia expresses his delight at how he has been received in Turin following his summer arrival: “I feel comfortable here, people are nice and warm-hearted. In the dressing room, I feel at home, and have a great relationship with both my team-mates and the technical staff.”
In Vinovo, the Bianconeri continue their preparations for Saturday’s encounter with Udinese. Conte puts his men through vigorous fitness work, before concluding proceedings with a passing drill and a small-sided game. Claudio Marchisio, Simone Pepe and Eljero Elia undergo individual training programs.

Friday 27 January
Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres completes a loan switch to Juventus. The 24-year-old enjoyed a spell with the Bianconeri 18 months previously, and his return to Turin bolsters the defensive options available to Antonio Conte.
The manager wastes no time in welcoming the new arrival: “We only had five defenders, so a new signing was necessary. He’s a player who can adapt to different roles, but also someone who is already familiar with the club. So he’ll need a shorter period of time to blend into the group. He’s come here with the right attitude, and is aware that he’s joined the Italian side with the best defence.”

The Primavera suffer further heartache as they squander a two-goal lead at home to Livorno. Marco Baroni’s side get off to a spectacular start with Libertazzi hitting a brace inside the opening quarter of an hour. However, the visitors muster a late fightback to leave both sides with a point apiece.
But there’s better news in the evening as the Bianconeri strengthen their grip on top spot with a 2-1 win over Udinese. Alessandro Matri strikes twice to warm the spirits of the fans at a sub-zero Juventus Stadium.
Antonio Conte praises the resilience shown by his team in a hard-fought victory: “This was a game to win through battling, and we got the victory. It was important because it’s a direct encounter. I’ve congratulated the lads but I’ve already told them to think about Tuesday’s game in Parma”

Sunday 29 January
Juventus return to work just hours after the home success over Udinese. With Tuesday’s trip to Parma in mind, Antonio Conte assembles his men on the training ground.
Giorgio Chiellini conducts an exclusive interview with Juventus Channel’s 231 show, detailing the significance of yesterday’s victory against a fellow championship contender.
"Yesterday we obtained an important victory," he said. "And as the manager said, it's certainly worth six points. We did well to restrict the threat of Di Natale and limit their counter attacks. They did break a couple of times but we created a lot and deserved the win.”
Also in front of the microphone is Giuseppe Marotta, who praises the good work done by Conte on ‘Stadio Sprint’: “We’ve played 20 championship games and two Coppa Italia fixtures, we’re unbeaten and we’ve got the best defensive record in the league. There are rivals but there’s the desire from all concerned to fight for an important result. We’ll do that right until the end to try and give everyone something to cheer about.”
