My mother hate snakes too. The rest of my family are okay. Ironically though the thing that scares me even more than a snake is a worm. The phobia is almost equal though. I think I got less scared of snakes because when I was younger, I was riding my bike out front and a huge one fell from the garage roof on me. I screamed and ran of course but I was surprised to find he was not slimy like he looked.

Oh and my worm phobia stems from way back. I think I was about 3 and my uncle put a worm on me and I remember screaming and crying so hard at it because I didn't know what it was and it scared me because it was all wriggly. From that day on I was never the same about worms.

I hate rats and am afraid of snakes but like a month or so ago, I saw a snake chilling in a creek and got within two feet to take some pictures. It didn't move at all. It wasn't that small either. So yeah, rats are disgusting, snakes are cool.

You touched one although you're scared of them? They look scary though, especially when they move.

I would never touch a worm. If anyone tries to scare me with one and I am not above crying. I think my uncle traumatized me too much when he did that to me for me to ever get over that fear.

Snakes are cool. I have always had a fear of spiders. Disgusting evil little creatures.

I've held a tarantula before but I fucking hate getting surprised by small spiders in my room. It freaks me out and I flush them down the toilet everytime.

I don't mind spiders as much when they are larger and especially when they aren't in my house.
