Ok... here I am agian.
I discussed this problem yesterday with Rab, Sheik and others but I didn't succeed!
So, I made this thread to attract more attention :D
This a short description...

Morning guys :coffee:

I've been facing a problem lately viewing videos on my media players (Real player & VLC)...
The picture freezes for a while while sound is going on and some time it freezes and the sound gets played again (sentence is repeated 2 or 3 times)!!!
Any one faced this?!
Any solution?

Thanks...
I installed XP codecs, KLite codecs but the problem persists!

Help...

You may have problems with your graphic card. Try reinstalling the drivers, if it did not help then it might mean that it's life has come to an end.

    Don't say it :scared:
If this is the case, wouldn't the videos I watch online have the same problem?!
And how do I reinstall the drivers?

I doubt his card supports, or that he knows how to enable hardware video acceleration for videos. The decoding in his case is 99.9% surely done by the CPU, the video card is just outputting the processed video. And if his video works on streams, etc. it means there's absolutely nothing wrong with his video card.

    Juve-Prince;

Your first problem is having crap like Real Player even installed. Your second problem is having codec packs even installed. Your third problem is if you have codec packs installed, you have the wrong one. CCCP is the only one that's worthwhile.

    Here's what you do:

    1. go to http://www.cccp-project.net/ and download and run the insurgent tool.
    2. Uninstall any and all codec, codec packs and for crying out loud, the Real Player.
    3. Install the CCCP codec pack.

If that doesn't fix your problem, then the problem runs deeper than the mere messed up codecs and you're in for a complete windows re-install.

Hey, V...Thanks for the advice. But before doing so, I'd like to give you some extra info...
1- I formatted my PC few days ago and still had this problem again.
2- this problem shows also with VLC, not only real player!
3- about the codecs, I installed them after I started encountering this problem.
4- what's your recommended media player? (that can play *.rm & *.rmvb files)

Just do what I told you. Remove everything. Install CCCP(with it comes the best media player, MPC). ;)

When I said everything, I meant literally everything. From VLC, to Real player and all codecs. Everything video related.

If that doesn't fix it, it's probably broken in the windows installation. You'll need to re-format Windows again and don't install anything before you install CCCP. If even that don't work, then you probably have some faulty hardware(which shouldn't be the case).
