It's simple. We don't have a LB in the squad. Peluso is a LB. And he can play as a CB, a position where we really need depth.

From the little I've seen, he looks like a decent player. Tall, fast, decent passing.

One thing regarding this that bothers me though is that clearly nobody trusts De Ceglie, maybe not even to be a backup. He could very well remain in this squad to fill in the homegrown quota for CL, along with Marchisio, Gio, Marrone.

If I were Marotta to be honest, I'd only sign another LWB if it would improve the first team. Peluso would be a quantity signing.

People seem to forget we are Juventus FFS. Peluso is a mediocre piece of shit, who like Dule said, will be just as much a waste of space, time, and money as Padoin was. I do realize we can't have 11 WC starters, but it doesn't mean we should also compromise and stoop so low when pursuing targets, whether Conte likes them or not. Peluso epitomizes mediocrity, and would add absolutely nothing to this squad.
