I have to say I'm a little surprised by the Galactico fans. Pretty classy on their behalf.

Do not underestimate the importance of this. Other clubs have had to sell off players when they didn't qualify for an expected round with TV revenues. This is really critical for our club finances, transfer budget, merchandising, etc. All good stuff.

It wasn't just Del Piero out there. But what he did and the impact on the game was immense. Sometimes it's a matter of timing. You can be on the pitch for 90 minutes, and it's just 1 or 2 that really matter and change the result. Kind of like a reverse-Boumsong effect. But he was clutch bar...

I would even so far as to give Del Piero a rare and almost unheard of rating for me today: 9.
