The one given against Alex Sandro was pretty odd. This one given against Inter is pretty similar to that given against Tottenham. The difference is that in this one D'Ambrosio's hand is in a normal position.
I think they've given penalties for handballs a bit easier this season. I've certainly seen some given in Serie A that were much softer. I personally don't think that it's completely wrong to give that as a penalty, but I can also understand why some feel it's harsh.
They might give it to Messi regardless. He had a good season on an individual level and he usually is pretty popular choice for such trophies. That EPL hype is a strong thing as well though. Would be pretty funny if VVD ends up winning it considering all the great CBs who have not been anywhere...
Hard to disagree with that.
Anyways I think you guys have a good project going. Wins and trophies will come at some point.

They went with the hipster choice in Modric last year so why not. Especially if Messi and Argentina don't do anything special in the summer.
It's only one season though. Real and before that Barca had dominated this competition through their superior technical quality.
This season definitely has been less about technical and tactical quality and more about pure desire and athleticism.
Quite a few though. De Ligt, Onana, Van de Beek, Mazraoui, Dohlberg, Veltman and Blind.
Then you have guys like De Jong, Ziyech and Schöne who aren't their own youth products, but have gone trough that same dutch footballing school.
