The one given against Alex Sandro was pretty odd. This one given against Inter is pretty similar to that given against Tottenham. The difference is that in this one D'Ambrosio's hand is in a normal position.

I think they've given penalties for handballs a bit easier this season. I've certainly seen some given in Serie A that were much softer. I personally don't think that it's completely wrong to give that as a penalty, but I can also understand why some feel it's harsh.

It's only one season though. Real and before that Barca had dominated this competition through their superior technical quality. This season definitely has been less about technical and tactical quality and more about pure desire and athleticism.
