Also called spending a shitload of money on a new stadium.

People try to analyse what it takes to go far in the CL and signing this player for that area etc, but in the end it means shit because it's about taking your opportunities in what is an increasingly stupid tournament.

Spurs have been in very mixed league form of late and with injuries but it seems if you set yourself up to chase a tie it improves performances and momentum.
they could have sold players for plusvalenza and buy adequate substitutes if it was about the lack of money. btw consistency always helps, that's not a new thing.

but yeah, it's about being brave, motivated and taking your chances. and also about speed, agression and being sharp at the right time: these are the new flavors.

Liverpool reaching the final seems logical to me. Even in the first game vs Barca they played well and were very unlucky not to score. They did well vs Bayern too. On the other hand Juve and City have themselves to blame for bottling it vs inferior oppositions but this is a tournament, the room for error or complacency is very small and we paid the price. I don't see anything that is stupid, whoever wanted it more and was braver went to the final. Our team should have done better and never gave up after Ajax' second goal in Turin. This year CL only highlighted our team weak mentality and lack of self belief.

It's only one season though. Real and before that Barca had dominated this competition through their superior technical quality.

This season definitely has been less about technical and tactical quality and more about pure desire and athleticism.

what a surprising season. liverpool making it to finals wasn't a surprise tho, considering the fact that they were in the final last year and nothing but got stronger goaltending and middlefield wise. spurs making it to the finals after all those struggles, having all those injuries and not having that wide of a bench compared to all "big" teams was a total surprise.

epic season, pool gonna take it.

Seems like a sensitive and good guy. Probably why his career has been a bit hit and miss, unfortunately pro sports isn't great for these personalities.
He was one of the best players in PSG and i have always rated him very, very highly, he is an amazing player. He had a very bad injury in PSG and it had an effect on him and his play. However, he went to England, needed some time to settle but he is an amazing player. Always liked him.
