True, but with Neddy and Marchionni out, I think Gio is our best option for the LW, better then brazzo.

Since I don't think the Czech Republic has any chance on winning the EC, I think it is better for him to stay at Juventus, rest for next season, and be 100% fit when we play the CL preliminaries so he can shine one last time next season in Europe for us.

True, and the article states he would have to take a pay cut if he would sign a new deal so I guess that answers the question.

I think he could be an ok backup.

I don't think he wants to go on more then one year, it would be a big surprise to me if he would sign this one year extension so let's just see if he signs this one and be very happy if he does, then we can still see next year how he performed and if he is able to go on longer.

Hopefully Marchionni can replace him, and as long as DP can reach a high level in the attack, Palla might also be able to play as AML. Also, if we manage to reach CL, there is a possibility to sign big names and we might get a good replacement for him, to bad Malouda already joined Chelsea.
