Nice :tup: I'm using Krix bookshelf speakers (Australian, probably haven't heard of them) with a Rotel amp, sounds great :D Same with the bass here but I don't really care much about lots of bass. The bass on those creative/logitech systems is just exaggerated to wow people who haven't heard...

I use a bookshelf hi-fi setup and it's great but yeah that's true. Audioengines would also be a good choice

Same, but that's why I use those, because they're super cheap (like $10) and sound really decent. I saw, that's just ridiculous :D - - - Updated - - - I had a pair of 449s and they were decent enough but I upgraded to 598s this year and they are far better. I gave my old ones to my sister...

get the most expensive sennheisers from the HD range you can afford

I think you want neutrality above all. More than one pair is of course better though

Why would you want Grados in a studio? You'd only want the reference ones in a studio

I heard they are really harsh though, not a fan of that

these are pretty rad, have a pair the colour is kind of strange, but it's the only choice. but you don't buy headphones to look at them so who cares
