I wouldn't disagree about the overpaying, but that just brings it down to a little more than the 18-20m I was speaking about as Tevez's value. And there were plenty doubts about Van Persie's injury record, so he certainly wasn't a sure thing.

I think his value is still up about 18-20m. The lack of other interested parties meant that Man City couldn't get that much, but to get him for under 15m is pretty damn good in my book.
