Where you getting that from? I believe Conte wants the option to play with a back four, but I've seen nothing to make me think 3-5-2 won't still be the primary formation next season.

Why? Peluso will be viewed primarily as a wingback.

Peluso needs to tone down his tackling a bit on occasion, but it's good to see him wanting to play on the front foot, being aggressive and trying to get tight to opponents high up the pitch. It's something Juve tend to lack when Chiellini isn't playing. How long is this reputation going to...

Started poorly (looking like the only player falling into the trap of not concentrating fully), but grew into the game.

That was just unfortunate. Peluso had his eyes on the ball and just bumped only noticed Cavani once it was too late to avoid him.

That's fine, just checking I hadn't missed anything. So he's a decent crosser, which would have been apparent to folk who'd watched him a bit at Atalanta anyway.

Yeah, what has prompted this 'great crossing' thing with Peluso? I remember one good cross against Celtic (with him standing still and the ball gently passes back to him - the easiest possible set-up for putting in a cross), but nothing else of note.

Really good game from him. You were, of course, seeing him play in his ideal position, rather than how he's tended to be used since he joined Juve. Got to play pretty much as a orthodox LB and made a very good job of it.

Provided he isn't doing it in the box, I've no problem with the odd mistimed tackle. Risk you run when you are going into a lot of tackles, as Peluso tends to.

You think it's fine for a defender to be several yards away from a player in the box who he is supposed to be marking?

He should have been much closer to Icardi on the second goal. He may not have made the block, but it was ridiculous not to be tighter. Don't think he could do much on the first goal, though, due to how early Icardi hit the shot.

Juve missing out on signing some ridiculously expensive player because they signed Peluso instead.
