The thing is no one is calling Marotta a genius for the Llorente "saga". He's neither a genius or a loser. He signed a player for free to do a job for 4.5M. He did that job and earned his wages at least in the first year. The second year he started to decline. He's not worth those wages anymore...

Well we gave him those wages to get him to sign for free. And he was worth those wages for at least a year. And he helped us win titles (not so much last year but the year before he was good). Now he's not worth the wages, which we gave him, so we are dumping him. It seems logical to me.

He needs Tevez. Llorente prefers to bring balls down with 1 or 2 touches to a teammate running off him. Asking him to make runs or to bring balls down and dribble opponents is not realistic.

He misses Tevez. Osvaldo is not a support striker. Llorente needs a player beside him to bring the ball down for or to make runs off him to keep the defenders on their heels. Defenders were running through Llorente all game because Osvaldo wasn't in the picture. There was no threat for a knock...

I thought Tevez was getting in his way a bit today. Kinda annoying. Llorente was trying to bring some balls down in the box and Tevez was running underneath him and flubbing it up.

Llorente is the best player in the world, deal with it.
