Vinny, in all fairness, the single biggest nationality on this forum has always been Swedish, we've had tons of Swedish Juve fans over the years so I think it's a bit unfair to insinuate that all of the Swedish are here for Zlatan only.
Andy, the way Zlatan can create a shot on goal out of nothing by being cunning, if he could actually score from those chances, he would BE the best forward in the world IMO. I haven't seen anyone as good at that as he is.
Nor would Zlatan be consistent wondering if he's gonna play or not and being substituted 26 times. Instead of being an automatic starter no matter what.
I said COMPARATIVELY and highlighted it so I'll make it uppercase this time. COMPARATIVELY effective. And given that Zlatan played more minutes, I don't see how he automatically wins the contest.
My point is that you made a completely ridiculous suggestion in that we should look past Del Piero's goals because they are tap ins given that Zlatan JUST failed to score one of those tap ins himself and isn't very good at scoring them regularly either. FACT Del Piero scored more goals than...
No, Juventus won the league with both Zlatan AND Del Piero last season. And Trezeguet and Zalayeta. But it's worth noticing that Del Piero scored MORE goals than Zlatan last season, playing less matches.
For everyone who said we should be happy with 4-0 against Empoli (in fact a lot of people said we should be extatic), we should be happy with a win today, regardless of who played and who sucked, right? :)
