An injury is the only acceptable excuse for his laziness. Everything else is BS. The guy shows no fight in him, doesn't matter what system we play. He's straight up lazy.

Looking at our current mid with someone as lazy as Pjanic make me miss him though. He had grinta and heart.

But I’m not. He was a good player but there was nothing unique about him. He wasn’t extremely technical, Utterly intelligent or special. Just mostly solid overall with unimpressive but sometimes impressive performances here and there. A decent player.

Marchisio was a decent player, no more no less. Stop the overrating already.

Why

Unless we're replacing him with top CM quality we can't afford to lose him. He's our best midfielder by a mile.

I like him but don't rate him as highly as you. However I believe the lack of better midfielders to play with is affecting his game and limiting what he can do.

If that's the case, great! I've been unimpressed by his performances for the longest time but it seems he really "has it" this season.

The question is: Can he maintain it? Pjanic's career has been pretty much ups and downs. Talent wise he's on that level but can he be as consistent? I'm hoping so.

I do hope this isn't one of his "short good phase" because right now he's showing amazing levels of pure quality. Keep it up and I can see being up there with the best mids around.
