In a long list of dumb deals over the past few years, that one sure is a contender for dumbest deal. And it's proof that JJ have become idiots (almost overnight it seems) when it comes to (financial) planning & squad building.

You know how there are always players that are highly rated, considererd excellent, etc where you personally just can't understand why that is? Alex Sandro is such a player for me. It's not that he's bad, or that he is the biggest issue we have right now, but for me he's not exactly a bright...

Stay or go, I'm fine with whatever the outcome is going to be in Sandro's case. But increasing his wages sounds like the dumbest thing you could possibly do. "Hey, your performances were not up to par, have some extra money."

But, as Jay pointed out, can you consider someone quality if he's underwhelming half the time? Personally, if I wouldn't go as far as saying his performances were unacceptable (few exceptions here & there), but he definitely was not a better player than our other fullbacks. Potential &...

Where did I say we need to drop him? My point is very simple: For a supposedly great player, he sure has a lot of average games. I don't know what it is. He wants out or it's a coincidence or he's just not as great as he's made out to be. I'm leaning towards the 3rd option personally...

Of course you can't. People really seem to be blinded by how good he could potentially be, rather than judge his actual performances.
